Most depictions of Little Red Riding Hood by pop-culture artists today show her as either a damsel in distress or a seductress. But another subgenre of fairytale artwork depicts her as a badass Big Bad Wolf slayer, who’s also super sexy.
Here are a few examples of Little Red as the hunter not the prey.
Canadian comic-book artist Jamie Tyndall has done several portrayals of Red as a kick-ass wolf killer who wears skimpy outfits. (See examples above and below.)
Artist Michael Dooney showed Red as a steampunk wolf warrior.
Illustrator Scott Blair presented Red as badass chic with two handguns.
Pinup illustrator Mike DeBalfo depicted Red lying on a wolf skin rug in front of a fireplace.
Digital illustrator Jeff Wack drew Red as an Adriana Lima lookalike packing a pistol.
And finally, U.K. illustrator Matt Dixon showed Red using Negan’s weapon of choice, a baseball bat, to dispatch the Big Bad Wolf.

Sexy Little Red Riding Hood artwork
Wrapping up my series on modern portrayals of Little Red Riding Hood, I’m going to review how pop-culture artists like to sexualize the fairytale character.
Many of the artists covered here are the usual suspects from my previous reports on sexy fairytale character depictions.
As is my custom, I’ll start with comic-book artist J. Scott Campbell. He has produced several Little Red illustrations for his Fairytale Fantasies calendars. (Samples up top and below.)
Chilean artist Carlos Valenzuela presented Little Red as a throw-back pin-up girl with a tamed Big Bad Werewolf.
The Grimm Fairy Tales comic book series has created many versions of sexy Red Riding Hood. Here are two works by Los Angeles-based artist Eric Basaldua.
Artist Elias Chatzoudis also has tried his hand at making sexy Red Riding Hood artwork.
Indiana-based artist Corey Knaebel made a seductive version of Red.
Digital pin-up artist Keith Garvey created a lingerie-clad Red Riding Hood.
Italian artist Pasquale Qualano illustrated a scantily-dressed Little Red.
Artist Yigit Koroglu showed how Red tamed the Big Bad Wolf with her sexy lingerie.

Sexy Little Red Riding Hood, a Halloween staple
Before it became a cliche to make every possible Halloween costume sexy (sexy Harambe, anyone?), adult women have been tarting it up as sexy fairytale characters for the holiday.
Among the 50 most popular Halloween costumes this year, according to Google Frightgeist, are Little Red Riding Hood (No. 31), Tinker Bell (No. 36), Princess Jasmine (No. 42), and Belle (No. 46).
This year, fairytale characters have taken a back seat to comic book characters for women wanting to tramp it up on Halloween. Harley Quinn is No. 1, followed by Wonder Woman (No. 5) and Poison Ivy (No. 17).
But fairytale characters are perennials.
Here are some Little Red Riding Hood costumes available for purchase online.

Yahoo: A supporter of lying clickbait articles
Until now, my articles on lying clickbait have focused on the content promotion services that use the technique, such as Taboola and Revcontent.
Today, I’m going to focus on a sponsor of lying clickbait: Yahoo.
Yahoo is pretty desperate to increase its advertising revenue, so it has turned to unscrupulous content marketing services to goose its numbers.
Yahoo Finance has cluttered up its news feed with cheap ads for herbal medicines, get rich quick schemes, and “proven” ways to attract women. It also added sponsored content using lying clickbait photos.
One promoted article titled “Rebel Wilson Looks Amazing After Losing Weight” used a Photoshopped picture of the actress made to look thin.
The doctored photo is part of a series of photos done by groups on Facebook and Reddit that digitally slim down plus-sized celebrities. The Facebook group is called Project Harpoon and the Reddit subpage is called Thinner Beauty. (See article by the Daily Mail.)
Another promoted article titled “Images of the Titanic Taken by Passenger’s Camera” used a photo from the 1943 German propaganda film “Titanic.”
The sponsored post claims, “Rare Photos from Inside the Titanic Revealed to the World for the First Time.”
Hardly. (See articles on the 1943 film on Wikipedia and IMDb.)
Yahoo also has used some lying clickbait seen elsewhere, such as Erik Estrada and Bruno Mars in a post titled “Celebrity Kids Who Could Impersonate Their Parents.”
And just for illustration purposes, here are some sponsored ads Yahoo has been running in its news feeds.
