Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has promised to focus on improving Yahoo’s core services.
She needs to crack some heads over Yahoo Mail, which has gotten really slow and buggy lately.
I’ll click on an email and get a loading error. (See above photo. Click image for larger view.) This is happening a lot.
Or I’ll click on a message and nothing will happen at first. Then after a second or two delay the function will work. For instance, I was deleting an email and nothing happened, so I clicked delete again. Then after a delay, it deleted two messages instead of the one. I had to go into the trash folder to save that second message.
The tech pundits are right -- Google’s Gmail has become a better service. Yahoo had better get its act together on this.
Update May 30, 2013: Another screenshot of a Yahoo Mail fail.
Update Aug. 6, 2013: Yahoo Mail glitches continue. Here’s yet another screenshot.
And so it continues into today June 23, 2013.....My issue just started to become annoying enough for me to think about switching to Google....
ReplyDeleteI've heard from a couple of people who are still having problems with Yahoo Mail. My problems are intermittent.
ReplyDeleteYahoo needs to fix its issues with Yahoo Mail pronto.
It has become a major problem. This is like a CORE service and they've run it into the ditch. It just loads and loads and loads sometimes, for like, well, forever probably, after 5 or 10 minutes who wants to bother waiting any more. It's ok in the mobile version but the browser version is just broken. Badly broken. If they can't fix this how can they fix the company?!
ReplyDeleteHey yahoo mail should stop its alterations and switch back to the old version.Have you noticed how hard to type a message and edit on compose screen or reply to a sender.I couldn't even figure out which new messages I received on inbox. They changed the mail structure as a chat forum. It may be good for a mobile app version, but not definitely on the PC
ReplyDeleteE-mail should be e-mails,chats should be chats.Best of luck yahoo, otherwise I will switching to Google after 15 years with you.
It was much better before this latest change. If i am writing an email and then decides to go back to check another email my new mail goes away. It used to be separate tabs. It also keeps on logging off every couple of hours. Sometimes it shows that there are 3 unread emails but there are none. It is just crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is Yahoo Mail sucks, Sucks, SUCKS!
