Magazine covers react to convictions of former Trump aides

Time magazine jumped on the news that two former associates of President Donald Trump were convicted of felonies with a cover showing the president “in deep.”
The Sept. 3-10 cover depicts the president as treading water in a flooded Oval Office. It is the latest in a series of covers by Brooklyn artist Tim O’Brien showing Trump facing increasing turmoil.
Time is the first magazine to react to the convictions of Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort and how they impact the president. (See articles by CNN and the Huffington Post.)
Others are sure to follow.

Update (Sept. 1): I’m including covers reacting to the latest Trump scandal news from the New Yorker, the Week and the Weekly Standard.

Meanwhile, the Economist featured a photo of Trump on its Aug. 25-31 cover with the headline “Above the law?”
And as a bonus, the New York Post newspaper had fun with its Aug. 24 cover about the news that National Enquirer publisher David Pecker is cooperating with federal investors. Pecker is a Trump ally.

The 10 hottest women of the LFL

The Legends Football League is completing its 10th season of women’s 7-on-7 tackle football. Playoffs will be held on Aug. 25, followed by the championship game for the eight-team league on Sept. 8.
The young sport has had surprising longevity considering its start as the Lingerie Football League in 2009. It was rebranded in 2013.
The league has worked to bring legitimacy to the sport. That includes changing the player uniforms to reduce wardrobe malfunctions, which were pretty frequent in the early years. (See LFL Wardrobe Malfunctions for examples.)
One thing the league has no shortage of is attractive, physically fit women.
In the interest of generating clicks to Tech-media-tainment (full disclosure!), I present my list of the top 10 sexiest athletes in the LFL.
Only women who have an active presence online through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other outlets were considered. Yes, that leaves out a lot of incredible women. Plus, the list is purely subjective, of course.
With that said, here are my picks, in alphabetical order:

Tiyauna Anderson

Tiyauna Anderson is a defensive lineman with the Los Angeles Temptation. (See also photo at top.)

Carmen Bourseau

Carmen Bourseau is a running back with the Los Angeles Temptation.

Jayne Caldwell

Jayne Caldwell is a quarterback with the Chicago Bliss.

Ninotchka Claud

Ninotchka Claud is a wide receiver with the Los Angeles Temptation. She’s also a model and personal trainer.

Kandy Cooke

Kandy Cooke is a defensive end with the Nashville Knights. She is also an international taekwondo athlete.

Continued in part two.

The 10 hottest women of the LFL, part two

What follows are the next five sexiest women in the Legends Football League, in alphabetical order. (See part one for the first group.)

My neighborhood looks exciting and exotic thanks to lying clickbait

The Great Falls, Reston and Vienna area of northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C., is a nice, boring region. But, according to lying clickbait, it’s a hotbed of adultery and criminal activity.
Clickbait firms use your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address to customize advertisements to your area. But the photos they use aren’t customized. And they often aren’t very representative of your area.
What follows are some recent examples that definitely don’t reflect my northern Virginia stomping grounds.

Content distribution service Mgid recently ran a post titled “The hottest Great Falls girls look for experienced guys here.” It featured a photo of two pretty women in booty-exposing bottoms. The girls are posing on an overlook that is clearly not in Great Falls, Va.
A reverse image search indicates that the photo is likely from the Instagram account of Los Angeles nightclub entrepreneur Tony Toutouni.

On a similar note, here’s an ad from Revcontent for a dating service. It’s titled “Can you handle a sugar mom in Great Falls?” It features a curvy blonde lying on a bed and smiling at the camera. A reverse image search shows that this same photo has been used nationwide for escort services. So I doubt she lives in Great Falls, Va. Sorry, guys.

Clickbait companies also like to use photos of people being arrested elsewhere to illustrate ads about new rules for drivers in Virginia.
One recent Revcontent article titled “New rule in Vienna, Virginia, leaves drivers fuming” used a picture from the British TV show “EastEnders.” (See article from the Mirror.)
Another titled “New rule in Vienna, Virginia” used a photo from Flickr user Frejus. The picture appears to have been taken in New York City.

A Taboola post about markdowns on used cars in Vienna, Va., used a photo of a sexy lady in a classic car. The picture is from a photoshoot by Latvian photographer Kaspars Grinvalds. (See iStock by Getty Images.)

Finally a Taboola article on luxury assisted living homes near Vienna, Va., used a photo of a house in San Diego, Calif. (See HomeAway vacation home listing.)
