Defunct halls of fame for horror movies, robots and bikinis

A few years ago, I wrote about some defunct halls of fame for Barbie dolls and celebrity lingerie, among others.
What follows are a few more short-lived halls of fame.

Horror Hall of Fame

The Horror Hall of Fame was a televised awards show honoring the horror movie genre. It only ran for three years, from 1990 through 1992.
(See articles by Wikipedia and Dread Central.)

Fangoria Hall of Fame

Fangoria magazine created the Fangoria Hall of Fame to honor horror movies, actors and filmmakers. It lasted from the early 1990s until 2017 when Fangoria folded.
The magazine relaunched in October 2018, so maybe they’ll revive the hall of fame as well.
(See list of honorees on Wikipedia.)

Robot Hall of Fame

The Robot Hall of Fame, a project of Carnegie Mellon University, was created in 2003 to recognize fictional and real robots that have inspired and made breakthrough accomplishments in robotics.
The Robot Hall of Fame hasn’t inducted a new class of robots since 2012 because of lack of funding.

Bikinis Hall of Fame

In July 2013, the Bikinis Sports Bar & Grill chain announced actress Carmen Electra as the first inductee into its Bikinis Hall of Fame. Unfortunately the project ended there, although it looks like the restaurant chain did have a photo gallery of some of its waitresses at an Austin, Texas, location.
If there is a hall of fame that needs to be revived it’s the bikini hall of fame. Maybe some vacation beach town can take up the challenge.
