I’ve been documenting interesting halls of fame, both physical and virtual, for several years now. What follows are the latest interesting virtual halls of fame that I’ve come across.
Adoption Hall of Fame
The National Council For Adoption honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the adoption community with its Adoption Hall of Fame Award.
This year’s honorees included celebrated radio host Delilah and Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser.
America’s Clogging Hall of Fame
America’s Clogging Hall of Fame is dedicated to the preservation of the old time square dance and clogging.
It inducts at least three individuals yearly at its National Championships dancing competition. These inductees have been clogging for at least 25 years and have been a positive influence in the preservation of the dance.
Cattle Production Veterinarian Hall of Fame
The American Association of Bovine Practitioners inducts esteemed cattle veterinarians into its Cattle Production Veterinarian Hall of Fame.
The latest honorees were inducted in September at the association’s annual conference.
Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame
The Consumer Technology Association has a hall of fame for inventors, business leaders and other people involved in the consumer electronics industry. But IEEE Spectrum magazine recently inducted milestone devices into its Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame. It selected the best gadgets of the past 50 years, including the Sony Walkman and Roku streaming video box.
Logistics Hall of Fame
The Logistics Hall of Fame honors leading figures who have made outstanding efforts to promote the further development of logistics and supply chain management. The Munich-based organization was founded in 2003.
Montana Outdoor Hall of Fame
The Montana Outdoor Hall of Fame enshrines the state’s conservation giants. Created in 2014, the hall honors individuals who made lasting contributions to the restoration and conservation of Montana.
International Surfboard Builders Hall of Fame
The International Surfboard Builders Hall of Fame pays homage to the craftsmen who helped shape the surf culture.
